Play Arquitectura collaborates in the BREEAM certification team of the Logroño Railway integration project, which began the certification process last September

Last July 2020 the New Offices of Victory They obtained the Passivhaus Plus Certification, thus becoming the first office building in Spain with this certification.
The Passivhaus certificate recognises compliance with the best conditions of comfort, hygiene and energy efficiency in buildings, and its Plus category recognises its positive energy balance with more energy generation than consumption.
The certification values provide for a heating demand of 2.24 kWh/m2a, a cooling demand of 9.02 kWh/m2a, a renewable primary energy demand of 33.13 kWh/m2a and a renewable primary energy production of 51.13 kWh/m2a.

Play Arquitectura presented the New Passivhaus Plus Offices of Victory in the 24th International Passivhaus Conference which this year was held online with more than 1,000 attendees.
The presentation on the New Offices and Logistics Warehouse in Victoria was selected from over 300 papers and was presented alongside the most outstanding Passivhaus projects on the international scene.
With this presentation, Play Arquitectura has already presented 4 times at the International Passivhaus Conference, which it has attended since 2015.
Victoria's new offices are the first non-residential building in Spain to be certified with the Passivhaus Plus standard, and the Victoria brand has thus sought to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability and to the best health and comfort conditions for its employees.

Last January 2020 the Logroño Sports Union commissioned the architectural studios RA Architects from Madridid and Play Arquitectura from La Rioja the project for the new Sports City of Logroñés.
This project will include an urban development with an area of 130,000 m2 and its objective is to cover the club's priority need to have its own facilities in which to train and prepare the team for the well-deserved promotion.
The design of the new complex will be based on sustainability and energy efficiency criteria that guarantee the integration and autonomy of the operation in the environment.

Last September 2019, the works to refurbish and waterproof the central square and repair the garage of the Pamplona police station were completed.

Last May 2019, construction work began on the extension of the Las Lagunas de Mijas sports city.

On December 5th, the first Blowerdoor was passed in the construction phase of the Eco-Passivhaus “Casa Pomona” located in Ivars d'Urgell, Lleida, and a result of 0.11 h-1 was obtained. The construction of this single-family home of almost 300 m2 has been carried out with a light wooden frame finished internally with OSB class 4 and externally on the facades using a SATE of wood fiber and lime mortar and on the roof using mixed tiles on double battens. The carpentry has been resolved with Unione wood-aluminum profiles and Griesser Lamisol type solar protections.

This good result is the result of great work by the construction company Jesfer, the carpentry company Blas Recio e Hijos, the installation company Badia Energies and the technical management. PlayArchitecture SL is an architectural, urban planning and engineering services company that has been committed to the Passivhaus standard since 2010.  

Why did you choose the Passivhaus standard?

The Passivhaus standard fits with our sustainable vision of architecture and we consider that It is revolutionary since he gets the better comfort, an interior environment healthier and the greater energy efficiency currently available. Therefore, the 90% of the projects from the study are designed Passivhaus and our entire team is trained in the Passivhaus standard and in Ecodesign.

What experience do you have with the Passivhaus standard?

Play Arquitectura has designed and directed the first public building of the State for the Ministry of Finance under standard Passivhaus and BREEAM as a pilot project in Sustainability and Energy Efficiency. In 2015, the company designed and managed the first certified Passivhaus public building in Spain and we are currently working on Passivhaus projects in La Rioja, Navarra, Vitoria, Lleida, Málaga and Mallorca with a combined surface area of more than 10,000 m2.

On September 10, 2018, work began on assembling the light wooden framework of the Pomona House in Ivars d'Urgell.

The manufacturing and assembly work on the light wooden framework designed to meet the Passivhaus standard is being carried out by the company JESFER, specialized in this type of construction.

Within a month, the entire wooden framework, roof and carpentry will be assembled, leaving only the partition work, interior installations and cladding pending.

Holland's bigger Bridge is currently under construction and will be ready for students Fall 2017.
